Local SF Fashion: Indie Mart

Who doesn’t love a street fair dedicated to vintage clothing, music, handmade jewelry, art, and DIY workshops? We were certainly psyched to be at Indie Mart over the weekend, and from what I saw – so were many local SF fashionistas!  Here are a few lovely ladies that stopped and posed for my camera and gave me the scoop on what they were wearing.

First up are these two fabulous chicas, Sara (left) and Elena (right) Foley (Instagram: FoleyFace).  I was definitely drawn to their carefree spirits as they danced around the streets of Indie Mart, they had great energy and outfits to match!

Outfit Details:

Sara Foley (left) – Tan-Printed Cardigan: H&M, Basic Black Tank: Zara, Light Denim Cut-Off Shorts: thrifted, Hosiery: thrifted, Black Slouched Boots: thrifted, Sunglasses: thrifted.

Elena Foley (right) – Floral Printed Sundress: The Thrifty Hippy, Black Stockings: 1920’s vintage/thrifted, Black Booties: BCBG, Black Hat: Urban Outfitters, Sunglasses: Shell Gas Station (just goes to show that you can find great fashion anywhere!).

Next, I came across the stunning Dominique Burnam while I was browsing through a vintage clothing booth.  When I talked to her, she turned out to be the owner (no wonder her whole outfit was vintage!). I was amazed at how well she put together striking prints and colors in such a bold yet feminine way. I am especially a fan of her backless unitard, such an amazing find! Dominique enjoys thrift shopping and running her own online & pop-up vintage store, feel free to check her out at birdzonawire.tumblr.com!

Not too far from Dominque’s booth, I ran into Fatima Fleming – who was selling her handmade jewelry line inspired by Art Deco for her own company, Sea Pony Couture.  I loved how Fatima added subtle hints of femininity to her fierce look, and was immediately drawn to her amazing handmade “Screaming Tiger” necklace.  Isn’t it crazy?? This simple-yet-sassy outfit is definitely a great look for the city streets of SF!

To finish up my first post on SF street fashion at Indie Mart, I spotted Kerri LeBon (Instagram: nightbirdnightbird) browsing around at our own Violet Boutique booth, and I just had to ask where she got her vintage Chanel bag! I admire how she combined street style with a touch of sophistication. I think Kerri did a great job dressing down the infamous little black dress into something totally wearable for a day out at Indie Mart!
