Summer + Fall Transitions: Music Festival Outfits!
Summer only has a few weeks left and we're embracing the heart-wrenching moment of saying goodbye to our crop tops and denim shorts. Right now is the perfect time to take advantage of the transitional weather and integrate our summer favorites in our upcoming fall wardrobe. What a better way to mix your summer favorites with your new fall pieces than with California's upcoming end of the summer festivals, like Outside Lands and First City Festival?
Contrary to the desert heat of Coachella, these festivals take place in the San Francisco Bay area, which means the weather is chilly blanket/snuggie/throw worthy. Whether you're jamming to an opening act in the sunny afternoons or Red Hot Chili Peppers or Phoenix in the evening, it's nice to make use of your layers for optimal comfort. I personally love the crop top paired with a maxi skirt. Maxi skirts are perfect for keeping your legs protected from wind chill, but crop tops are a perfect amount of skin to show for a spunky concert look.
My other summer favorite, the overall, can be used in the layering process to transition into cool, festival weather. Pairing it with a patterned tee underneath is fun and comfortable for spending all day outside.
If you're absolutely set on wearing your favorite summer dress and shorts, adding on a few fall pieces can make your concert look work. Making use of your new military jacket or boots is also the perfect way to keep warm while still sporting your summer favorites!
